TotalEnergies receives the highest recognition for road safety from the FIA

At the Vision Zero Conference on road safety held on June 26 in Stockholm, TotalEnergies was awarded 3 stars by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) for the results achieved within the new FIA Road Safety Index project, making it the first private sector company to receive the highest recognition.

The FIA Road Safety Index is a tool that companies and organizations around the world can use to measure their impact on road safety, report on their activities in the field, and achieve increasingly better results over time, thus contributing to the creation of safer and more sustainable mobility for all.

According to the United Nations’ Agenda for 2030, road safety is key to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and, as such, is gaining more and more importance for various businesses.

 “If we want to reach the Sustainable Development Goal to halve road safety crashes by 2030, we need to embark everyone on the journey towards building a culture of safety. Companies and organisations have an immense role to play and with the FIA Road Safety Index we are giving them the comprehensive solution they need to assess, report and take concrete action to improve road safety. I’m pleased to see that TotalEnergies has achieved the maximum result. I am convinced their achievement will encourage other companies and organisations to implement the Index”, said FIA Secretary General for Automobile Mobility and Tourism, Jacob Bangsgaard.

This recognition reflects TotalEnergies' commitment to road safety and taking action to reduce the overall number of traffic accidents, especially those with fatal outcomes.
